Dr. U Bebawy, MB, BCH, MSC (Ophthalmology)
McMaster Fellowship of Ophthalmology
Dr. Bebawy is a Licensed Optometrist and an active member of the college of optometrists of Ontario, the Canadian association of optometrists, and the Ontario association of optometrists. He is a former member of the College of physicians and surgeons of Ontario.
He received his MD degree with honor from Ain Shams University in 1998. During his medical study he was fascinated by the eye physiology and diseases and how the eye can be the key to the health of the whole body. He spent 3 years of residency training in Ophthalmology ended by receiving his Masters degree in Ophthalmology. He worked as an assistant lecturer of ophthalmology at the school of medicine, Ain Shams University and used to give lectures and labs to students and ophthalmology residents.
Dr. Bebawy had a further fellowship training in cataract and glaucoma management at Essen University in Germany, then he practiced as an ophthalmologist for 6 years during which he used to manage and treat patients with cataract, glaucoma, uvietis, LASIK, macular degeneration, retinal diseases, dry eye syndrome and various other diseases of the eye.
Dr. Bebawy has spent 2 years in clinical fellowship at McMaster University doing a comprehensive ophthalmology fellowship. During this period he practiced in St. Catharines as a fellow ophthalmologist with Dr. George Beiko.

Lara has been a specialist for 14 years, earning her Hearing Instrument Practitioners Diploma through Grant Mac Ewan University and received her Board certification in 2004. She has been with us since 2012.

Licensed Optician, Contact Lens Fitter and Lab Technician
Alaukik graduated from the Opticianry Program at Georgian College. He also holds a Dental Assistant degree from Cambrian College. He successfully became licensed in 2022, but has been working in the Optical Industry for last 5 years. He started with our Welland location in 2023 and is very excited to meet many new faces.

Hearing Instrument Dispenser
Kelly Gadreau joined our team in February 2014 bringing with her 18+ years of experience in customer service and office management. Previously Kelly spent 11 years working in the Developmental Services sector managing a group home and providing daily support to youth with mental and physical disabilities. In September 2017 Kelly enrolled in the Hearing Instrument Practitioner program at Grant MacEwan University. Since graduating from the program in 2019, Kelly has been working as a Hearing Instrument Dispenser at our Welland location.
